On August 3rd, the event “Introduction to Mendix low-code solutions for businesses” was organized by Rikkeisoft and Siemens to help Vietnamese enterprises seize digital transformation opportunities and optimize their business operations on the low-code platform.

The event attracted major enterprises in Vietnam from the finance, banking, retail, insurance, and manufacturing sectors to participate and share their challenges and internal needs in digital transformation with low-code.

In Vietnam, according to a survey conducted by RMIT in 2021, the SME business group and state-owned enterprises in the service sector prioritize digital transformation in the following order: (1) Customer Experience, (2) Workflow Optimization, and (3) Product Features.

To meet the above goals, transitioning from the traditional software development model to a low-code platform is inevitable. It has been proven that low-code helps businesses adapt more quickly to customer needs with speed, flexibility, and cost-effectiveness in software implementation.

Mendix is a low-code platform of Siemens Corporation (Germany), providing the ability to build and develop software, applications, and automation processes synchronously, quickly, and securely for customers. Businesses in a wide range of sectors such as finance, banking, manufacturing, insurance, and retail can leverage the Mendix platform to improve operations and productivity.

To support businesses on their digital transformation journey through the low-code platform, Rikkeisoft and Siemens Digital Industries Software have officially signed a cooperation agreement. As a result, Rikkeisoft will be a partner in Vietnam, offering consulting services, solution design, development, and maintenance for Siemens’s Mendix low-code platform.

Mr. Phan The Dzung, CEO of Rikkeisoft, stated, “Mendix has the advantage of seamless integration throughout the entire application lifecycle, from design to development. With Mendix, businesses can undergo digital transformation more easily, especially when their IT resources and costs are limited.”

“In Vietnam, Rikkeisoft is a company with over 10 years of experience in consulting and providing digital transformation solutions for numerous domestic and international corporations. Dzung shared that the combination of Mendix’s superior features and Rikkeisoft’s ability to deploy technology solutions will help Vietnamese customers turn their ideas into reality.

During the signing ceremony, Mr. Alex Teo, Vice President and CEO of Southeast Asia at Siemens Digital Industries Software, also expressed his expectations for cooperation between the two parties.

“The trend of transitioning to low-code platforms to meet the increasing demand from users is becoming common in the field of software development. Becoming a Siemens partner for the Mendix platform helps Rikkeisoft improve efficiency and optimize the cost of digital transformation for customers,” said Alex Teo.

Gartner’s 2022 forecast shows that low-code platforms help businesses dominate the speed of software development and build automation processes. The friendly operation, low requirements in terms of operation, diverse integration capabilities, and high-security features make low-code a useful tool for businesses that need to accelerate their digital transformation journey.

The low-code development technology market is forecast to reach $26.9 billion by 2023, growing 19.6% over 2022, according to Gartner. The low-code application platforms segment is expected to reach $10 billion in 2023 and $12.3 billion in 2024.
