Currently serving as the Chief Digital Officer and CIO at Homestar Financial Corporation, one of the top residential mortgage firms in the United States, Mr. Carter has played a pivotal role in leveraging technology to transform the industry. During his tenure as CIO and CMO of Primary Capital Mortgage from 2015 to 2018, he led the company to achieve a remarkable 205% growth in origination volume through strategic technology upgrades.
Prior to that, as CIO and CMO of Generation Mortgage Co. from 2011 to 2015, Mr. Carter received accolades from renowned publications such as the New York Times, the Wall Street Journal, Kiplinger’s, Bloomberg, and Marketwatch. His innovative use of technology as a key differentiating factor for the company garnered significant recognition and set industry benchmarks.
Beyond his professional achievements, Mr. Carter has been recognized as a thought leader in the technology space. He was named “CIO of the Year” in 2014 by the Georgia CIO Leadership Association and featured in Constellation Research’s prestigious “Business Transformation 150” list for 2020. Moreover, his book on change leadership, “We Can’t Stay Here,” became an international bestseller in 2021.
In his role as an advisor to RKTech, Mr. Carter will represent the company to expand client networks and seize new business opportunities. He will also play a crucial role in identifying and pursuing mergers and acquisitions in the industry, leveraging his strategic insights and industry knowledge. Additionally, Mr. Carter will provide leadership guidance and mentorship to RKTech’ and Rikkeisoft’s Board of Managers, ensuring continued growth and success.
